Meet George
George
became an orphan at nine years old at which time he ran away to
live in the streets of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. When he was
twelve years old he was taken to a children's home where they gave
him an education up to grade eight, and put him to work. However
he never a chance to attend secondary school. Originally George
came to CCI asking for a job. That's when the international director
of CCI, Marilyn Cohn, met George. She discovered that more than
employment his heart's desire was to attend secondary school. So
starting in June of 2001 we enrolled George in a high school for
the first time.

George is now in his second year of high school where
he is doing exceptionally well. George is very grateful for this
oppurtunity to be in school. Before we ever met George he had written
a prayer to God about his desire to attend school. George's
favorite subjects in school are Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.
His ambition is to become an engineer. When George is on his school
breaks he helps out in our program for the street children, and
he is good role model for them, since he is a rehabilitated street
boy.
