Meet Jacqueline
 When
Jacqueline was seven years old her parents died of AIDS. Their widowed
grandmother took her and her two brothers to live with her. Also,
there are many cousins of Jacqueline living with their widowed grandmother.
Jacqueline's grandmother, being elderly, does not have enough strength
to do labor work in the nearby farms. She feeds herself and her
many grandchildren by digging in the dirt for whatever vegetables
she can scavenge. Sometimes Jacqueline and her brothers would go
to work on nearby farms to supplement their meager diets.
We met Jacqueline in the middle of the day wearing only a night
shirt, having no other clothes to call her own. CCI is now supporting
Jacqueline and we have placed in a home where she is getting the
love and attention that she needs.
